Prince Harry Will Head to the U.K. to Visit King Charles After His Cancer Diagnosis
Sources say Charles called his sons to tell them the news.
Prince Harry is set to hop across the pond to pay a visit to his father, King Charles III after news broke of his cancer diagnosis, People reports. The outlet notes that Charles contacted his sons, William and Harry, personally to share the news. Today, Buckingham Palace issued a statement informing the public at large that the British monarch was undergoing cancer treatment unrelated to his prostate and that he would be putting his public appearances on hold for the time being. People adds that Charles also contacted his siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, to tell offer an update about his health.
Harry is expected to visit his father in the coming days, though no official schedule has been released just yet. Harry lives in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and his children Archie and Lilibet. The Sussexes moved to the States after they stepped down from their roles as senior royals in 2020. Since then, Harry has made several trips to the U.K., including one to attend Charles's coronation in May 2023 and again that same year for the WellChild Awards.

Just last week, Harry and Meghan announced that they will make a trip to Canada from Feb. 14 to 16 for a special event: the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025's One Year to Go celebration. They're expected to pay a visit to the Winter Training Camp and spend time with managers, coaches, and competitors as they prep for next year's Invictus Games. Harry founded the games, which celebrate adaptive sports, in 2014 after serving in the British Army. Participants in the Invictus Games include veterans as well as wounded, injured, and sick service members.
"During The King's recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer," the palace shared in a today.
