Harry and Meghan 'set the date'

Prince Harry sure isn’t messing around when it comes to his whirlwind romance with Suits star Meghan Markle.

We saw it when he confirmed their romance with a very public statement last November, trying to protect her from the spotlight. We see it with her nipping in and out of the Prince’s Kensington Palace apartment running errands. We’ve heard about it with reports of Meghan’s introduction to his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.

Now, just days after the loved-up couple were snapped holding hands on a romantic date night, it looks like Prince Harry’s foot is very firmly on the relationship accelerator with reports the pair have set a wedding date.

According to a report in Woman’s Day, the palace is preparing to make an official announcement after Prince Harry popped the question.

“They’re looking at Friday, September 22, a source tells Woman’s Day.

The date holds special significance for Prince Harry. Not only is it a few days after the 20th anniversary of his mum, Princess Diana’s death, it’s also a week after his September 15th birthday.

“While nothing is definite until the invitations go out, they are moving ahead with booking everything for that date,” reveals the source.

For Harry, the lightening quick nuptials could have something to do with his plans to start a family.

“There have been moments through life, especially when we do a tour abroad, when I think, ‘I’d love to have kids now,’” the Prince told People magazine.

With Meghan turning 36 in August, insiders say the timing is right for the couple to take the next step.

“Meghan and Harry have officially asked for the Queen’s permission to marry. Her Majesty said yes, of course,” the source adds. “She’s been itching for Harry to settle down."
