Another royal baby is on the way
Archie Mountbatten-Windsor might have some competition for the cutest royal kid title because it’s just been announced that there’s another royal baby on the way.
Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg, 38, and his wife Princess Stephanie, 35, are set to become parents for the first time in May.
The news was officially announced by the marshall of the court on the royal family’s website, alongside some adorable photos of the couple.
“Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess are immensely pleased to announce that the Hereditary Grand Duke and Hereditary Grand Duchess are expecting Their first child,” the statement reads.
“The birth is scheduled for May. The Grand Duke, the Grand Duchess and the members of both families are delighted with the news and share their great joy.”
Prince Guillaume is the oldest child of Grand Duke Henri Luxembourg and his wife, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, who made the announcement on the couple’s behalf.
The royal couple married in a civil ceremony 2012 at the Luxembourg City Hall, after dating for three years.
In October 2012, they held a wedding at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg, with Stephanie donning an intricate lace gown by Elie Saab.
The reception was held at the Grand Ducal Palace, with dignitaries and royals from all over the world in attendance.
Princess Mary and Prince Frederik dressed up in their finery for the occasion, with the Crown Princess looking stunning in a burgundy skirt and suit combo.
