Yahoo Lifestyle After Previously Being Called Out By His 12-Year-Old Daughter Penelope, Scott Disick Got Candid About His History Of Dating “A Little Younger” Than He “Should”
Since splitting from Kourtney Kardashian for good in 2015, Scott Disick, 41, has famously dated multiple women who are much younger than he is.
In 2017, he started dating then-19-year-old Sofia Richie when he was 34. A few years later, he got into a relationship with Amelia Hamlin — who was also 19 — while he was 37.
Most recently, Scott was briefly linked to model Rebecca Donaldson in early 2022. She was seemingly in her mid-20s around the time they dated.
Previously discussing his pattern of dating younger women, Scott said in 2021, “I don't go out looking for young girls; they happen to be attracted to me 'cause I look young.” He later noted that his idea of an “age-appropriate” relationship would be with someone in their “upper 20s.”
Fast forward to 2023, and Scott’s daughter, Penelope, ended up calling him out over his dating habits during an episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians.
Scott shares three kids with his ex Kourtney: Mason, Penelope, and Reign, who are 15, 12, and 10, respectively.
Penelope, who was 11 at the time, bluntly made it known that she felt her dad should date “older” women, and when asked if “late 20s” was appropriate, she hit back: “No! 20s?! You’re 40! You’re not gonna date someone 19.”
Now, Scott has discussed his dating habits during an appearance on Khloé Kardashian’s new podcast, Khloé In Wonder Land.
While reflecting on his last relationship during their 47-minute conversation, Scott told Khloé that he and his ex were in “different places” in life.
“My last relationship was good. It was kinda just like, we were at different places at different times in our lives, and we know that I tend to date a little younger than I should,” he admitted.
Khloé then questioned if he was going to “stick with” dating younger women, to which Scott replied, “No, I can’t.”
When asked what his “age range” is going forward, Scott quipped that he might get back with his ex “when she gets older.”
“She’ll be matured then and older and been through life a little bit, and gotten fucked over, had some heartbreaks,” he said.
Elsewhere during the conversation, Scott opened up about avoiding dating around his kids even though they tell him that they’d like him to “be with someone.”
“They’d like me to be with somebody,” he said. “They do voice to me that they’d like me to be with someone. And I kinda say, until I find the right person, I don’t really wanna bring another person around, unless it’s the end all be all person. Just ‘cause I don’t want them to get attached to somebody else.”
“I have to do my thing, too, or I’ll never meet anyone. But, like, they’re all starting to get older. And it’s not that much longer ’til they’re of age, all of them,” he said.
“If for the next 5, 6, 7 years, my attention is on them, I have the rest of my life to be a single guy. Right now, I like that my focus is on them. And if I was with somebody else, yeah I’d still be their dad, but I would have somebody that I would be putting on a pedestal near them,” Scott added.
