A popular Korean BBQ sauce sold at Australia’s major supermarkets has been recalled on food safety fears.

ByAsia Food, a Korean food distribution company, has recalled two O’Food Korean BBQ sauces: the bulgogi beef marinade 280g botte with a best before date of April 16, 2025, and the BBQ spicy pork marinade 280g bottle with a best before date of March 10, 2025.

The bottles have been incorrectly labelled to read gluten free, Australia’s Food Safety watchdog said.

“Any consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the products are consumed,” Food Standards said.

“Consumers who have a Gluten allergy or intolerance should not consume these products.

“Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”

The sauces were sold nationwide at Coles, Woolworths and IGA supermarkets.
