Popular chips pulled from hundreds of stores

A popular type of corn chip sold in Asian grocery stores in Victoria has been recalled over its failure to declare an allergen.

Packets of Leslie’s clover chips in barbecue flavour which failed to declare gluten as an allergen have been recalled by Australian import company WTT Global Trading.

The affected barbecue corn snacks were sold in Asian grocery stores around Victoria in 145g packets and have a best before date of September 4 2025.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand warned consumers with a gluten allergy or intolerance against eating the corn chips.

“Any consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” the recall notice states.

“Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
