Popular Aussie duo 'consciously uncouple' from Swisse Wellness

Apparently their 'Instant Rizz' gummies aren't cutting it, the pair revealed on April Fool's Day.

Just three weeks ago, we reported that The Inspired Unemployed had renamed themselves The Inspired Employed after being declared Chief Gummy Officers at Swisse Wellness.

Now, Matt and Jack have revealed that their tenure with Swisse was the "ultimate April Fool's Day prank" and will now come to an end.

They announced in a "press conference" about their departure from the vitamin giant held today (on April Fool's Day) that one of their gummy inventions didn't meet Swisse's rigorous standards and protocols for new product development.

The Instant Rizz Gummies were designed to give a person five times more charm, plus of course, Instant Rizz. Made with a special anti-rejection formula, the gummies were to be success-flavoured and have a 100 per cent reply rate.

However, unlike Swisse's other gummy products that are renowned for their blend of fun and functionality, the Instant Rizz gummies fell short of expectations and landed too far in the realm of “fun". This prompted the Inspired Unemployed to reflect on their role within the company and ultimately choose to step back from full-time employment.

“It turns out that Instant Rizz is way harder to bottle than we expected,” says Jack Steele, former Chief Gummies Officer at Swisse Wellness. “The team at Swisse really know what they’re doing when it comes to gummies – and the current range already slays!”

Other ideas that were touted before Instant Rizz was greenlit included Slay the Day gummies, Anti Hangxiety gummies, and Emotional Support gummies.

New Swisse formula's which have hit the shelves

Two of Swisse's new formulas that have actually made it on to shelves include the Hyaluronic Acid Skin Glow Gummies and the Apple Cider Vinegar + Fibre Gummies.

The Hyaluronic Acid Skin Glow Gummies, $29.99, are designed to help boost collagen production and plump up your skin. Made with sodium hyaluronate, a salt form of hyaluronic acid, that hydrates your skin from inside out, they also contain Vitamin C.

The Apple Cider Vinegar + Fibre Gummies, $29.99, contain 800mg of apple cider vinegar and 40mg of acetic acid per daily serving. Apple cider vinegar is believed to have many health benefits, including improving heart health, lowering cholesterol and blood sugar.

These chewy gummies are a sweet apple taste to mask the strong taste of vinegar that is often found in liquid or capsules. They also have added fibre.

Both types of gummy are vegan friendly.
