Pope Francis keeps tweeting about the New Orleans Saints by accident

Pope Francis -- or his social media manager, I'm guessing -- is pretty active on X (formerly Twitter), with Biblical quotes, prayers and messages to the world.

But the @Pontifex account has been bombarded with NFL jokes as of late. Why is that?

Because he keeps tweeting about saints. But he keeps using the hashtag #Saints, and that triggers the New Orleans Saints' Fleur-de-lis logo to show up.

So, yeah. This is quite funny and it keeps happening, and the jokes keep being hilarious. Here's a look at the tweets we've seen, and maybe the pope and his staff will catch on:
