Police Search for Kansas City Chiefs Player Rashee Rice in Connection to 'Major' Crash

Rashee Rice

Dallas cops are reportedly looking for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice after an accident involving a car reportedly registered to him occurred in Texas on the evening of Saturday, March 30.

The Dallas Morning News first shared the news, noting that Rice was possibly connected to a "major" crash. Later on, law enforcement updated the publication with more details. A multi-vehicle crash on the North Central Expressway involved the drivers of a Corvette and a Lamborghini speeding in the left lane.

"The drivers lost control and the Lamborghini traveled onto the shoulder and hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles," the police shared, confirming six total cars were involved.

Unfortunately, the two drivers of the sports cars left the scene after the accident "without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information." According to a police call sheet obtained by The Dallas Morning News, the Corvette is suspected of being registered or leased to Rice.

There were reportedly four people injured in the accident, with two treated on-site and two transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Rice, 23, began his professional football career in 2023 with the Kansas City Chiefs after graduating from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Texas.

To say his first season in the NFL was successful might be an understatement, as he won Super Bowl LVIII with his team and broke the record for most playoff receptions for a rookie, catching 26 passes throughout all the postseason games.

As of writing, suspects in the Dallas car crash have not been officially identified, and Rice has not been located by the police.
