Rebel Wilson and Ruby Rose throw Hailee Steinfeld surprise party
Hailee Steinfeld had planned on doing something "small with my friends" for her 21st birthday.
But it seems her Pitch Perfect 3 co-stars, Rebel Wilson and Ruby Rose, had other ideas.
Rebel, 37, has shared a video to Instagram of Hailee being surprised with a huge birthday party to mark the milestone age.
"Surprise," Rebel shouts from behind the camera, whilst the lens focuses on Starving singer's shocked expression.
Hailee can be seen entering a room full of people, presumably close friends and family, who are all cheering and laughing whilst covering her mouth from the shock.
"We surprised her," Rebel says to the camera after, whilst standing beside fellow Aussie, Ruby.
"It worked," Ruby, 31, added. "We did it."
"We were in on it the whole time," Rebel said. "She had no idea. Surprise."
The women are all stars of Pitch Perfect 3, which they're currently travelling around promoting before its release at the end of the month.
Hailee, who has since shared a snap of herself on Instagram wearing a red latex dress for the event, had previously told E! that she hadn't wanted to make much of a fuss around the big birthday.
“The big 2-1. What do I do? Do I do something? I’m kinda torn,” she said. “I probably will do something small with my friends.”
Seems Rebel and Ruby knew it was too big an occasion to let slip.
