New Photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton Offer a Rare Peek Inside Kensington Palace
Today, Prince William and Kate Middleton stressed the importance of mental health in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis with a new statement.
“The last few weeks have been anxious and unsettling for everyone,” the royal couple said. “We have to take time to support each other and find ways to look after our mental health. It is great to see the mental health sector working together with the NHS to help people keep on top of their mental well-being. By pulling together and taking simple steps each day, we can all be better prepared for the times ahead.”
Their words of support were coupled with two new photos, which offer a rare peek inside their residence at Kensington Palace.
The first picture (above), shows Prince William speaking on the phone with Paul Farmer, the CEO of the charity Mind, on March 18. Another photo (below) features Kate talking to Catherine Roche, the CEO of the children's organization Place2Be, on March 19—the same day the couple visited medical workers on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis at an NHS Call center.
The photo of Prince William shows him sitting in a chair next to a marble fireplace. A printer is close at hand, as is a beautiful lamp.
In her image, Kate is seated at a large desk; a collection of Penguin clothbound classics designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith (including titles like Emma, Sense and Sensibility, The Hound of Baskervilles, and Middlemarch) adorn her workspace.
