Why people are freaking out over this picture of the Queen
She’s one of the most famous women in the world who is often commended for her diplomatic dressing and bright and cheerful outfits.
But Queen Elizabeth has caused quite the stir on Twitter after an image was released showing her posing for Hello! magazine, with her hands placed firmly in her pockets.
The usually conservative Queen has stunned royal fans with her casual demeanour in the snap, which shows Her Majesty smiling into the distance, wearing a white, long-sleeved, calf-length dress, her trusty black heels and a diamond necklace.
Needless to say, Twitter lit up when the image was released:

While fans may be applauding the Queen’s photos, the Daily Telegraph reported that the Royal Collection feared the snaps would “bring the monarchy down”.
In her new book, The Other Side of the Coin, the Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe, the Queen’s dressmaker, Angela Kelly, recalls the moment she suggested that the Queen should pose with her hands in her pockets.
She said that within moments of pitching her idea to the Queen she was onboard.
"And we were off. Her Majesty took her position in front of the lens and started striking a series of poses, slipping her hands in and out of her pockets and placing them onto her hips, mimicking the stances of a professional model.”
However, Angela’s book was being published by the Royal Collection, who feared the snaps were too modern for the Queen’s supporters.
"Their opinion was that these more candid photographs would bring the monarchy down and therefore they were not suitable for the public eye,” she said. “Why they thought that, I have no idea."
