After People Claimed That Beyoncé Lied About Loving Sabrina Carpenter’s Latest Album At The Grammys, Here Are The Receipts That Prove She’s An OG Stan
It’s fair to say that this year’s Grammys was a night for the girlies, with Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Chappell Roan, and Charli XCX among the stars to take home an award.
And throughout the night, there were also wholesome displays of the stars supporting one another, with Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina almost breaking the internet when they were spotted hugging in the crowd, and Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish among the celebs shown tearing up when Beyoncé was finally awarded Album of the Year.
These cute moments continued backstage, too, with a clip of Bey and Sabrina running into each other behind the scenes emerging on social media.

In the short and sweet footage, the women give each other their flowers as they congratulate one another on their respective wins.
“Congratulations, we love your album. We love you so much,” industry veteran Bey reportedly told rising star Sabrina.
But some cynics were quick to try and rain on Sabrina’s parade, with X users baselessly claiming that Beyoncé was being disingenuous when she said this.
Responding to a Buzzing Pop tweet about the interaction, one person wrote: “Tell her to name 1 song from the album apart from espresso.”
“she didnt even listen to it i bet,” somebody else claimed, while another tweeted: “she’s so fake.”
“She tells this to everyone,” another user retorted.
But what these people don’t know is that Beyoncé genuinely is one of Sabrina’s OG fans, and has been singing her praises since 2017 — and there are receipts to prove it.
One viral tweet — which has been seen more than 2.7 million times and has tens of thousands of likes and retweets — shares footage from a radio interview that Sabrina did at just 18 years old.
The tweet reads: “Beyoncé has been supporting Sabrina Carpenter since before you people even knew her name.”
In the clip, Sabrina is recounting meeting Beyoncé to the hosts, saying: “[She] was basically just like: ‘Hi, I’m Bey,’ and I was like: ‘I know.’”
Giggling, Sabrina went on to share: “She said so many sweet things, I wasn’t expecting her to know my existence, and so it was just a really, really humbling experience.”
“When you think about it, you know, there's so many people in this industry, and so many people are really nice, and then there's those people [who] even though they know who you are, they're like: ‘I’m just gonna walk past you, pretend that you don't exist,’” Sabrina added.
“And to have Beyoncé walk past you, and make sure that you know [she knows] that you exist, I was like: ‘There's nothing to ever be a brat ever again in my life,’” she went on. “You’re just blessed.”
In another interview from around the same time, Sabrina revealed that Beyoncé had told her that she and her daughter Blue Ivy, who was around 5 years old at the time, watch her on Girl Meets World.
For reference, Sabrina had a starring role in the Disney Channel sitcom, which premiered in 2014 and aired until 2017.
“We were rehearsing at the same studio, and [Beyoncé] stopped me to tell me that her and her daughter listen to the music and watch the show, and that was a crazy moment for me,” she shared at the time.
This means that Beyoncé and Blue were fans of Sabrina literally years before she broke into the mainstream, with the star not really making waves until she released her fifth studio album, Emails I Can’t Send, back in 2022.
Her profile continued to skyrocket when she supported Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour in 2023, and finally exploded in the best possible way with the release of her hit singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” last year ahead of her critically acclaimed album Short n’ Sweet.
Throughout all of this, Beyoncé’s loyalty has never wavered, with the music icon even shouting Sabrina out in an interview with GQ magazine last year, and Blue was spotted at Sabrina’s LA concert in November.
All that’s left to say is, Beyoncé and Sabrina collab when?!
