'Pawn Stars' Rick Harrison Confirms Son Adam's Cause of Death

Three days after announcing that his son, Adam, died at age 39, Pawn StarsRick Harrison has confirmed his cause of death.

Adam died after overdosing on fentanyl, Rick revealed in a TMZ article published on Monday, Jan. 22.

"Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose," a rep for Rick told the publication. "The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better."

On Friday, Jan. 19, Rick released a statement confirming Adam's untimely passing. "Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam," he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal through his rep, Laura Herlovich. "We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss."

That same day, the bereaved father posted an Instagram tribute in honor of his son. He wrote, "You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam 💔," alongside a photo of himself and Adam smiling in a bar.

Meanwhile, another of Rick's sons, Corey Harrison, posted an old photo of himself and Adam via Instagram. "Wax wtf I will always love you bubba," he wrote, referencing his brother's family nickname.
