Paul McCartney Fan Who Said She Loved Him 60 Years Ago Identified by Family: 'Guys, That's Mommy'

The Beatles singer, 81, jokingly posted about the mystery fan 60 years after she first professed her love for him

Paul McCartney’s search for a longtime fan appears to be over.

A family has come out and identified their late mother as the mysterious “Adrienne from Brooklyn” mentioned by the former Beatle, 81, in a social media post on Sunday, May 5, when McCartney jokingly asked her to come visit his new exhibition "Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm."

Within the post, McCartney showed a clip from 60 years ago of the woman saying "Paul McCartney, if you are listening, Adrienne from Brooklyn loves you with all her heart." It was recorded as The Beatles visited Brooklyn in the early 1960s.

"Hey, Adrienne. Listen, it's Paul. I saw your video,” McCartney responded in the clip. “I'm in Brooklyn now. I'm in New York. I finally got here. We got an exhibition, a photo exhibition. Come along and see it."

In a TikTok video posted by user Nicole D'Onofrio Pan in response to the music icon, the family said they believed their mom Adrienne — who died in 1992 — is the woman featured in the clip.

“Hi @paulmccartney we believe we have the answer! Our mother may very well have been ‘Adrienne From Brooklyn!’ ” the caption read.

In the clip, a man said while joined by his three sisters, "Hey, Sir Paul! I hear you’re looking for our mother.”

The family reappeared in the next clip as they sat together around a table and reminisced about their late mother as a Beatles fan, while music from the legendary band played over the top.

“About five or six years ago, I found a video on YouTube while fixing my TV about this girl, Adrienne, from Brooklyn,” the man recalled.

One of his sisters said, “When I heard that video I was like, ‘Guys, that’s Mommy.’ ”

“My mother during that time would have been about 12, 13, maybe 14 years old, when The Beatles came to the United States,” the brother explained. “I vividly remember her telling me that she skipped school, playing hooky is what she said, to go see The Beatles.”

“Unfortunately, my mom passed in 1992. So she would never be aware of this video ever existing,” he continued.

The brother said that he remembers their mother “playing The Beatles records” and has a “vivid” memory of one of their mom’s record album sleeves on which “she had written, ‘Adrienne and Paul’ in a heart.”

“It has to be her … it sounds like her, it looks like her,” he concluded. “Yeah, Adrienne, from Brooklyn, was our mom!” one of the sisters said in agreement.

“And if you hear my sister’s voices, I think it's reincarnation right here,” the brother added.
