Born in 1978, Danan landed his first acting gig at just 19 playing the loveable rogue Sol Patrick in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks. He was one of the big stars of that Hollyoaks era, playing a bad boy with a history of homelessness and a temperament that caused him to get in trouble. He left the show in 2001.
Danan also starred in the likes of CBBC’s The Queen’s Nose.
He then appeared as a celebrity contestant on the first season of ITV’s original Celebrity Love Island and was also on Celebrity Big Brother.
He discussed substance addiction on The Jeremy Kyle Show several years back.
He is the second ex-Hollyoaks star to die in the space of a week. Yesterday, Diane Langton, who played Marlena McQueen, died aged 77.
