Patrick Schwarzenegger wants to start a family as soon as possible — but he’s leaving the timing up to his fiancée and longtime love, Abby Champion.

While chatting with PEOPLE at his company MOSH’s BrainFest on Saturday, Sept. 21, the 31-year-old actor revealed that he “would have kids tomorrow” with the model, but at the end of the day it’s her choice.

“It's up to Abby,” he told PEOPLE at the Santa Monica event. “I mean, with her work right now, she's so busy and stuff.”

So when it comes to timing for the couple’s first child, Patrick added, “I don't know — but I would have kids tomorrow if I could.”

The son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, who is set to star in season 3 of The White Lotus, also shared an update on wedding planning with Champion, 27.

When asked how the process is coming along, he told PEOPLE, “Slowly but surely.”

Plus, the actor pointed out, “I was gone the last seven months in Thailand [filming The White Lotus], so we really didn't do anything.”

And when it comes to his own level of involvement in the ceremony, his philosophy is similar to the way he approaches his future family with Champion.

“I'm just, whatever she wants,” added Patrick, who co-founded MOSH with mom Shriver. “I'm just there to help out and make it happen.”

The couple — who were first linked in 2015 and announced their engagement in December 2023 — are planning on a 2025 wedding after having to delay their plans due to Patrick's filming schedule, they recently told GQ.

While speaking with the magazine earlier this month, Patrick said, “As I've learned, the role is just to make sure that she's happy, just whatever she wants to do.”

“I'm happy to give my opinion on things, and otherwise I'm just there to support her and make it so that she has the best day that she wants,” he added. “That's really my job.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the actor credited both Champion and his family for leading him to land his plum role in The White Lotus’ latest season.

“It's something that me and my family and Abby [watched] each and every Sunday when it was out for the first and second season, especially during COVID,” he said.

“It was funny because every time we would watch it, my family would always just say, ‘Why didn't you audition for this show? Why aren't you in this? This role would've been perfect for you, blah, blah, blah,’ ” Patrick continued. “Finally, when I got the audition for this, it was like, 'Okay, I got to nail this. I got to get this.' "

Patrick and Shriver, 68, created MOSH, which includes a line of brain-supporting protein bars, as part of their Alzheimer's disease advocacy. Shriver told PEOPLE at Saturday's event — which included a community walk — that when she got involved in the cause, "there was nothing about lifestyle."

"I think what's exciting is that no matter your age, you can start making changes [to your health] that are proactive today," she said. "So walking and talking, which is why we're starting with a walk. What you eat — which is where MOSH comes in — is super important. How you sleep? Are you in community? Are you learning? Are you continuing to learn? All of these things are super important."

Patrick said that with MOSH, he and his mom are trying to bring together and promote all of these healthy habits to help people reduce their risk of getting Alzheimer's or other brain-related diseases.

"We wanted to kind of mix together our bars and people trying it and building the community, but also getting people out and active and using their brain and walking and socializing and meeting new people and stuff like that. So that's kind of how we started, and it's grown each time," he told PEOPLE.
