Panera Has 2 New Cozy Menu Items—Plus a Returning Favorite

We’ve seen Panera Bread’s menu change a lot recently. Last year, the fast-casual chain sent fans into a frenzy when it began removing many beloved menu items. Earlier this year, the Missouri-based restaurant gave customers more insight into its vision for the future as it launched into a new era. Panera’s  “new era” included a pledge to offer more salads and sandwiches, additional flavor-packed choices, and greater value by including options under $10. It came through on its promise by revamping dozens of items, launching new bakery treats, and honoring fans' requests to bring back items they loved.

Now, as we approach the cooler months, Panera is adding to its menu once again. The chain is launching two new soups and bringing back a fall favorite that will keep you warm and cozy all season long.

Panera Launches Hearty Fireside Chili and Rustic Baked Potato Soup

Panera has added two new soup options to its menu and brought back a beloved fall classic. Autumn Squash Soup has returned to cafes, allowing customers to enjoy the most popular flavors of the season blended into one cozy bowl. For those in the mood for something new, Panera added Hearty Fireside Chili and Rustic Baked Potato Soup to the lineup.

Hearty Fireside Chili features chunky pieces of fire-roasted tomatoes and green chili peppers in a rich base made with smoky peppers, chili powder, and cumin. Hearty Fireside Chili offers familiar flavors fans loved in the restaurant’s discontinued Turkey Chili, but instead with savory beef.

Those who enjoy creamy soups will appreciate Panera’s new Rustic Baked Potato Soup. Customers were heartbroken when the chain removed its original Baked Potato Soup from the menu years ago, only offering a grocery store version in its place. The new Rustic Baked Potato Soup combines a cheesy potato base with bacon and chives, combining the comforting tastes of a baked potato into a single bite.

And that’s not all–Panera also unveiled a revamped kids menu. Panera’s youngest fans can now choose from a whole-size grilled cheese, turkey sandwich, or ham sandwich in addition to Mac or Cheese and Broccoli Cheddar Soup.

Panera’s Hearty Fireside Chili, Rustic Baked Potato Soup, and Autumn Squash Soup are now available in bakery-cafes nationwide, but only for a limited time, so be sure to try them before they’re gone.
