Oscars 2023: Nicole Kidman left red-faced after being roasted by Jimmy Kimmel

Nicole Kidman was left red-faced after Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel made a joke at her expense on Hollywood’s biggest nights. The Australian actress was sitting beside her husband, Keith Urban, when Jimmy Kimmel turned his sights on her.

Nicole has been the face of AMC Theatres for the past two years after appearing in an ad for the movie theatre, where she laments the magic of the movies.

The ad has spawned numerous memes since it was released and has gone viral in the US.

Speaking at the Oscars, Jimmy Kimmel addressed the ad, saying: "The world finally got out of the house to see films you worked so hard to make the way you intended them to be seen, in a theatre.

"I'm happy to see Nicole Kidman has finally been released from that abandoned AMC where she has been held captive for almost two full years."

The camera then cut to Nicole who put her face in her hands over the joke, however she seemed to take it in her stride as she laughed it off.

"Thank you for encouraging people who were already at the movie theatre to go to the movie theater,” Jimmy continued.

Nicole is believed to be signed on to be the AMC spokesperson until August 2023.

It came after Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban packed on the PDA in front of the cameras during their arrival.

The Aussie pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they walked the red carpet, with Keith gazing at Nicole lovingly as she posed for photographers. The Nine Perfect Strangers star dazzled in her sequinned black dress with two floral rosette details.

Fans went wild over their passionate kisses, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts.

“Nicole Kidman always looks like she’s in heaven with Keith Urban on the red carpet and I love that for them,” one person gushed.

“I cannot take it, this is sooo cute, Keith is sooo proud to see his wife THE LEGEND, NICOLE KIDMAN,” another added.

“Did everyone else just see that look Nicole Kidman gave Keith Urban on the red carpet just now I feel like I’m gonna pass out,” a third chimed in.

“Oh what a great couple. Do Australians proud on the International showbiz stage!” another remarked.

Others couldn’t handle how good Nicole looked in her striking Armani gown.
