According to an official description, the holiday treat takes crumbled Oreos and combines them into a "rich and buttery" dark chocolate dough and crushed peppermint candy cane pieces for the ultimate "holiday indulgence."
The limited-edition cookie doesn't just encapsulate the flavors of the holiday season, but the spirit, too, as a portion of the proceeds from every cookie sold between Dec. 2 and Dec. 8 will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs as part of Jimmy John's ongoing partnership with the after-school program.
"This holiday season, we set out to craft a new cookie that would delight fans while creating a moment where guests could pay it forward simply by stopping in for a sweet treat,” said Kate Carpenter, Jimmy John’s VP of marketing, in a statement. “In partnership with OREO, we are honored to continue to support the incredible work of Boys & Girls Clubs of America through this limited-edition cookie."
The new cookie is available at participating Jimmy John's locations nationwide for a limited time beginning on Monday, Nov. 25.
It follows several recent collaborations between "milk's favorite cookie" and other fan-favorite brands, including a new Oreo cereal, an Oreo Blizzard at Dairy Queen, a seasonal Oreo hot chocolate mix, and not one, but two special limited-edition menus in partnership with IHOP.
