Online dating fail goes viral after man's awkward double up

A man's cringeworthy online dating fail has gone viral, after he accidentally tried to use the same pick up line on two different women - who he later discovered were actually roommates.

The man shared screenshots of the awkward double up on Twitter, revealing he had sent a message via dating app Hinge that read: "This is hands down the nicest photo I’ve seen in my entire Hinge career x."

He sent the line, along with a photo of the woman's dating profile, but she responded with: "You said this to my friend as well hahaha."

Slightly confused the man asked: "How did you know I said that to her!? Did it go to your group chat??"

That's when the woman revealed that she and one of the previous recipients of his pick up line actually lived together.

"No we live together," she revealed.

It's unclear whether the man was successful in his attempt to woo either of the women, The Sun reports.

But he decided to share the interaction on Twitter, captioning the images with: "Probably time I came up with a new opener … your boy’s been absolutely rumbled."

His post has since gone viral after it was shared thousands of times.

"I’ve been in that exact situation," one person revealed.

"This has absolutely killed me," another exclaimed, while a third wrote: "Could’ve saved it mate, 'then I saw you'."
