The one thing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle say 'kind of ruined' their wedding day

It seemed like the perfect wedding day when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot on May 19th this year.

The bride looked stunning in a show-stopping Givenchy gown, the royal family were out in force for the jubilant affair and crowds had gathered from all over the UK.

However, for the royal couple themselves, there was one component on the day that didn’t exactly go to plan and they claim it ‘kind of ruined the whole thing’.

An exhibition went on display yesterday at Windsor Castle, called ‘A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle actually talk visitors through the experience themselves in an interview which was given after the wedding.

And during the piece, Prince Harry reveals the one thing that threatened to ruin their day was all to do with the flowers.

“We have a very small garden here that we had been planting things in the fall … and what was really special, I think, was that the morning of the wedding Harry went in and he picked some flowers to go into my bouquet, which was really beautiful and something that makes it sentimental and really meaningful,” 37-year-old Meghan Markle explains in the interview, according to Vanity Fair.

However, things didn’t go quit to plan, as a cold spell hit the gardens of Kensington Palace.

“We didn’t have as many flowers in our little garden as we had hoped for because I think it snowed at Easter. That kind of ruined the whole thing,” Prince Harry said.

Despite the fumble, the couple went on to wed surrounding by beautiful flowers at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

They are now on a royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji, and are expected to attend the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games tonight.
