Nicole Kidman's 'wild' night with Russell Crowe

They’re starring in the Aussie dominated movie, Boy Erased, and both have already been tipped to win Oscars for their roles.

But while Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe both ooze Hollywood class, the 51-year-old red head has revealed they share a ‘wild’ past.

The mum of four was describing how they first met at a party, which resulted in the Gladiator star drinking champagne straight from Nicole’s shoe.

“Russell drank champagne out of my shoe,” she told the Courier Mail, adding she couldn’t quite believe she had such a “wild past”.

Russell Crowe denies the ‘shoey’

But while Nic — who is married to country singer Keith Urban — recalls their first meeting fondly, it seems her 54-year-old co-star doesn’t even remember the classic ‘shoey’ moment.

“I never did that,” he said. “I stood behind you and you didn’t talk to me.”

But despite disagreeing on how they first met, the pair are undoubtedly great mates.

“I have an enormous amount of love and affection for him because we have been friends literally our whole life,” Nicole told the publication.

Both tipped for an Oscar

Their new movie was released on Friday and has already been tipped to sweep the awards season at the start of next year, something Emmy winner Nicole is all too familiar with after her role in Big Little Lies.

The Aussie stars play a religious, conservative Southern American couple struggling to deal with their son’s sexuality in the new film based on Garrard Conley’s memoir of the same name.

Earlier this year, Nic and her hubby donated $100,000 to the drought-stricken farmers during the Farm Aid Telethon.
