NFL Sends a Direct Message to Football Fan Complaining About Taylor Swift
It's no secret that some football fans disapprove of the attention Taylor Swift gets for supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at Kansas City Chiefs games. However, the NFL recently sent a direct message to one critic who complained about the pop superstar—leaving social media users "cackling" with approval.
On Thursday, Sept. 5, the pop superstar attended the Chiefs' home game against the Baltimore Ravens. The NFL's official TikTok account posted a video of Swift arriving at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the matchup, writing, "She's here 👀."
A TikTok user with the handle @Goodedits commented, "Can we get a football post," to which the official NFL account replied, "here, damn" alongside a post featuring Ravens player Derrick Henry.
The NFL account followed up that pointed response with, "ya when the game starts 🙂."

Before long, the snarky clapback went viral. One TikTok user in a different video highlighting the interaction wrote, "'Here, damn' is crazy 😭😂😭😂😭."
Someone else commented, "I love that the NFL is like 'if football is not being played, we are a Taylor Swift stan account so shut up Brian.'"
"The way I CACKLED!! ☠️☠️," another declared, while a second echoed, "I saw that and was cackling 🤣."
It's worth noting that not everyone was upset over the Swift content. One TikTok user in the original video wrote, "I honestly am excited for a whole year of unhinged Taylor Swift NFL takes."
Another joked, "I hope she wins this game."
Meanwhile, someone else shared, "My daughter and her dad have been excited for this game all day."
The Chiefs next face off against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Sept. 15.
