New mum's powerful post about her body after baby

An Australian mummy blogger has won over fans after sharing a powerful post about how she has been looking at her body after giving birth.

Jessica Hood, who famously did a livestream of giving birth, posted an honest message about her figure after giving birth to four children

“So I’m now 7 weeks postpartum and I’ve been feeling somewhat negative towards my body . Trying to diet . Trying to change me. Going against all the things I believe in. Nit picking at all my faults,” she wrote in Instagram.

“While I eat somewhat well and these day I’m doing 2 hours of cardio 5 times a week I’ve come to realise there is no quick fix that’s going to change this. I could diet, I could lose 10kg but unless I go and get surgery that skin is never gonna go away. It’s stretched, saggy and apart of who I am. 4 kids in 6 years will do that to ya!”

She continued: “I’m a size 16 I’m not skinny and I probably never will be again and that’s fine .
I also have this massive fear of Karl seeing me (well he is gonna see this now!) afraid he will look at me in disgust. Afraid he won’t love me the same way.

“Afraid he will compare me to other women and wish I looked like them. But it’s all me. It’s my head filled with all these negative thoughts about myself. I even had a doctor call me fat. Not overweight – FAT now that is gonna do something to someones self esteem.”

The 30-year-old then added: “7 years we have been together and I STILL tell Karl not to look. Seriously? Instead of trying to change me – I need to try and except me. The way I loved my body while I was pregnant. The only person hating on my body is me (and that sh***y doctor ) and I’m trying to reflect my negative thoughts about myself onto other people without realising I’m doing it!

“So tomorrow I’m gonna wake up. Enjoy my ice coffee. Walk the kids to school and enjoy my f**king life. Dress sexy. Rock my curves. And hold my head up high. We only get one life and I’m gonna live it!”

The mum’s words immediately resonated with followers who were quick to send her words of encouragement.

“You got this mama you’re beautiful. I’m the same size as you,” one wrote.

“You look perfect to me, carrying barely any weight postpartum,” another added.
