Steve Peacocke opens up about his engagement
As previously reported in New Idea, Home and Away favourite Steve Peacocke is engaged to his long-term love, Bridgette Sneddon.
The Bay's cutest couple, who have been dating since they met at uni in 2005, and are now co-stars on the hit show, got engaged last year but chose to keep the news quiet.
Steve, who has played River Boy Darryl 'Brax' Braxton for three years, has now opened up about the exciting news, “Yeah we are engaged,” he confirmed to Confidential.

“I just always thought it’s better to keep all that kind of stuff private for us. It happened (the engagement) last year so yeah we are engaged”, he added.

The 32-year-old has opened up to Sunday Style in the past about his feelings for Bridgette, "I was painfully shy with girls. The only girl I did like, I split beer all over myself when I was talking to her. But it was all meant to be, because I'm with Bridge now."
And added, "She's been with me when I had no money and looked like a loser to most people, so she's not there because I'm on TV. She's my best mate and the prettiest girl I've ever seen. I'm lucky".

27-year-old Bridgette joined her man in Summer Bay this as new character Sophie Taylor and she told New Idea how thrilled she was to share this new-found TV success with her hunky man, "I'm so happy" she gushed.
"I think we're both really proud and happy for each other and we support each other's dreams. The we can share this Home and Away experience together in really special for us", she added.
