‘There’s a part of her that never really got over Arpad,’ a source says. ‘But she’s concentrating on moving on from Arpad and now Jeff too.’

Elle, who dated Busson for six years from 1989 after her divorce from fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon (1983-1986), took on the job as host and executvie producer of American TV show Fashion Star so she could see more of Soffer, who owns the Fontainebleau hotel group, after they first stepped out in 2009.
A friend said: ‘They were dating but it was rather on and off. ‘She used to visit Jeff in Miami but they didn’t spend Christmas together – she went home to Australia instead. She was due to go to an art festival in December with him but cancelled.’

Elle, 47, posed with actor Zachary Levi, 31, at a Golden Globes party last month. But a spokesman tells me: ‘She is not dating Zachary.’
