TOM’S BABY BOMBSHELL: A DAD AGAIN... AT 51!

For Katie Holmes, rebuilding a friendship with former husband Tom Cruise was
always risky business. For a long time estranged following their divorce, the pair have recently been enjoying a warm connection. As they bonded again following daughter Suri’s recent accident, they were able to revisit all the happiest moments of their marriage. But amid shock news that has left her reeling, the single mum has perhaps realised too late where that renewed bond has led her.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: TONY ABBOTT’S SISTER – I’M GETTING MARRIED!

Christine Forster – a Liberal councillor at the City of Sydney and sister of Prime Minister Tony Abbott – and her partner of six years Virginia Edwards exclusively tell New Idea they are engaged to be married. However, there’s just one sticking point: same-sex marriage is not yet legal in Australia and Christine’s brother is part of the roadblock. But the couple tell New Idea they are still looking forward to walking down the aisle – and Christine says Tony will be there when it happens!

OLYMPIC STAR ALISA CAMPLIN: MEET MY PRECIOUS GIRL

Alisa Camplin-Warner’s gold medal smile is back as she cuddles her gorgeous baby girl Florence, born on October 3 at Melbourne’s Royal Women’s Hospital. ‘She’s just beautiful and so adorable to take care of,’ Alisa tells New Idea. These are happy days at last for the Aussie aerial skiing champ and her English husband Oliver after the tragic loss of their 10-day-old son Finnan to congenital heart disease in 2011. Elated to be parents again, and captivated by their little princess, the couple have treasured every moment since her birth.

TONY BARBER: ‘I’LL NEVER STOP DANCING!’

The ‘Fearless Fossil’ tells New Idea how he has a new lease on life – and loving it! Eliminated in the second round of Dancing with the Stars, Tony Barber is finally able to catch his breath after two months of hard training. Although the TV game show legend reveals to New Idea that he’s glad it’s over, Tony has found his dancing shoes, and isn’t planning on hanging them up for good just yet. ‘I’ll dance given the opportunity,’ he says. Immediately after signing on to DWTS, Tony began his own training regimen, walking 10 to 15 laps of his rural property. And during his short whirl on the dance floor, he managed to drop three kilos.
