She found worldwide fame playing a sexy seductress in The Wolf of Wall Street but Aussie actress Margot Robbie has revealed she never thought of herself as particularly attractive.
In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, the 24-year-old says she thinks her friends back home are better looking, "In my big group of girlfriends at home I am definitely not the best looking," she says.
"I did not grow up feeling like I was particularly attractive."
The former Neighbours star, who hails from Dalby in Queensland, is the toast of Tinseltown but she says she won't let fame go to her head.
"I’m not extravagant. I share my house in London with five roomates. I take the Tube. I intend to stay the exact same person I always was," she told the magazine.
Margot is currently living in London while she films Tarzan alongside Alexander Skarsgard, Samuel L. Jackson and Christopher Waltz.
The humble star proved she hasn't forgotten her roots when she recently flew home to help her mum, Sarie Kessler, celebrate her 60th birthday.
Margot's older brother Lockie, revealed that his famous sister had surprised their mum by paying off the mortgage on her home, “Congratulations and happy birthday to my mum,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Margot always said that she’s been blessed with the opportunity to help improve the life’s (sic) of the people around her.
“Mum turned 60 today and for her prezzy Margot has paid off mum’s mortgage.”
Speaking to the The Gold Coast Bulletin, her mother said: “It was just amazing to have Margot home. We knew she was coming home — I tried to talk her out of it [coming home] because she has so much work to do because she’s starting filming Tarzan next month, so she’s really really busy.
“I am immensely proud of her. She is a fine young woman and she is directly focused and she sets goals and achieves them.
