He’s been trying for weeks to find the perfect opportunity to propose, to no avail. But during next week’s season finale, Nate seizes the moment and finally asks Ricky to be his wife in an episode of Home And Away.
‘In his mind, Nate wanted to make it the perfect proposal,’ Kyle Pryor, who plays Nate, tells New Idea.
‘There were a lot of blundered attempts, then Ricky got wind of it and it was all a bit of a nightmare, really.’

However, Nate breaks the cardinal rule when he makes his big declaration at Zac and Leah’s wedding, clearly swept up in the emotion of the event.
But one thing Nate isn’t counting on is Ricky learning that her ex-partner – Casey’s dad Brax (Steve Peacocke) – is still alive.

‘It would change everything for her,’ Bonnie explains.
‘That Brax put her through all that for nothing is a hard thing to forgive.’
