Caitlyn Jenner – previously known as Olympics sensation Bruce Jenner – has been obsessed with legendary Aussie performer Rhonda Burchmore since seeing her on Broadway in the ’90s.

The reality star has kept close tabs on Rhonda ever since, saving photos of the sassy redhead as inspiration for when the time came to transform into a woman.

"Bruce was mesmerised the moment he saw Rhonda," the insider recalls. "Her face, legs, hair, amazing figure – he knew back then that Rhonda was the woman he wanted to become."

Speaking exclusively to New Idea, Rhonda says she’s ‘incredibly flattered’ to be named as Caitlyn’s inspiration.

"When I saw Caitlyn’s reveal on the cover of Vanity Fair, it took my breath away," she says. "So to hear that I was part of that is like: 'Oh wow!'

"I can definitely see the resemblance between us."
