Following one of the toughest week's of his career, Tony Abbott can rest assured he has the support of his family, namely his middle daughter, Frances Abbott.

"Of course it affects you but he's still doing a great job, which is that of our father," the 23-year-old told the Daily Mail at last night's Myer Autumn Winter Launch in Melbourne.

“I’m his biggest fan," she told Confidential.

"I think he is the best man for the job, that’s the bottom line for me. I think with anything, any relationships, you go through rough patches and it’s how you pull yourself out of that, that matters."

“He’s fine, he gets knocked down and then gets up again,” she added.

Since graduating from The Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney, Frances moved to Melbourne and took up a role at the department store as a children's fashion buyer.
