The upcoming telemovie, House Of Hancock, is set to thrust flamboyant Perth socialite Rose Porteous back into the national limelight.
Homing in on the lavish life she led in the 1980s when married to mining magnate Lang Hancock until his death in 1992. It will also feature the ugly court battles between Rose and her stepdaughter, Australia’s richest woman, Gina Rinehart.
"They had to put me into it to sell the show, didn’t they?" scoffs the 66-year-old exclusively to New Idea of the telemovie which will star Sam Neill and Mandy McElhinney as the father-daughter duo.

"It sounds like it’s just going to be a satire, starring a few corny court jesters. I fear there’s going to be a Martian playing me."
As for Malaysian-born actress Peta Sergeant playing Rose - "Friends say this young woman playing me looks very sexy, but I don’t feel flattered."Unless the person can capture my personality, it’s moronic stupidity to have her play me," she exclaims.
"I wonder, can this young actress play Tchaikovsky on the piano, the way I do every day? Is she used to wearing Chanel?"
