Yahoo Lifestyle NBC ‘Spoils’ Finales: Stabler’s Family Issues on Law & Order: OC, Upton’s Chicago P.D. Farewell and More
It’s that time of year again: time for TV shows to wrap up their seasons… and time for us to comb though the episode plot descriptions for all the fresh intel we can find.
NBC has released synopses for the remainder of the season, including finales for all three Law & Orders (with Organized Crime reportedly eyeing a move to Peacock next season) and all three #OneChicago shows (with Tracy Spiridakos saying goodbye as detective Hailey Upton).

Among all NBC scripted shows, only Organized Crime and sitcoms Extended Family and Lopez vs. Lopez are still waiting to hear if they’ll be renewed for next season. Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU, all three #OneChicago shows and Night Court all have been renewed already, along with freshman dramas Found and The Irrational. The Law & Order trio and #OneChicago shows are NBC’s only scripted primetime shows still currently airing new episodes, for the record. Dramas Found, The Irrational and Quantum Leap and comedies Night Court, Extended Family and Lopez vs. Lopez all wrapped up their seasons earlier this year.
A complete rundown of this spring’s NBC finales follows…
LAW & ORDER (Thursday, May 16 at 8 pm)
“In Harm’s Way” — When a sports star is killed, Shaw and Riley suspect the shooter missed their intended target. Baxter’s daughter comes forward as a witness, but her public testimony could impact his re-election campaign with the confession of a family secret.
LAW & ORDER: SVU (Thursday, May 16 at 9 pm)
“Duty to Hope” — The SVU searches for a pattern assailant before his crimes escalate to murder. Fin must contend with a suspect’s aggrieved son. Carisi is pressured to close the case quickly to ease public concern.
LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME (Thursday, May 16 at 10 pm)
“Stabler’s Lament” — When the ATF Bureau plans a raid of Redcoat’s warehouse, Trisha promises to help Stabler keep Joe Jr. safe. Bell comes face to face with the man who killed Sam. Another Stabler family dinner causes tensions to run high.
CHICAGO MED (Wednesday, May 22 at 8 pm)
“I Think I Know You, But Do I Really?” — Ripley and Charles treat a high-risk prisoner who may have dementia. Archer and Sean clash when a resident from Margo’s facility lands in the E.D. Crockett receives shocking news.
CHICAGO FIRE (Wednesday, May 22 at 9 pm)
“Never Say Goodbye” — Boden makes a decision that impacts the race for Deputy Commissioner. A tense call brings up painful memories for Carver and Damon. Mouch struggles to adjust to the new Truck.
CHICAGO P.D. (Wednesday, May 22 at 10 pm)
“More” — As the months-long investigation into the serial killer reaches its close, Voight must outsmart the offender in a race against the clock. Upton must make a vital decision.
