Nate Thrasher Withdraws from SMX Finale Due to Illness
The injury list keeps getting longer, unfortunately, ahead of this weekend. Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing's 250SMX rider Nate Thrasher will not be able to race this weekend due to sickness. Thrasher had a tough crash during Moto 1 of the SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff 2 last weekend in Texas, sliding up the face of the over-under bridge, which took him out for the remainder of the day. He hoped to be back this weekend from the crash, but now sickness has taken over, and he will be absent from this Saturday's Finale round.

Thrasher recently returned from collarbone surgery for the SMX Playoff 1 in Charlotte and had a big crash there as well that resulted in a hematoma on his leg.
Last weekend in Texas, I had a pretty big crash that took me out for the day. I was hoping I’d be able to heal up this week for the final SMX round but I ended up getting sick and will not be able to race. Im taking this sickness as a sign to let my body rest. Im excited to start preparing for next season on a healthy note but first, I gotta change @andreanicolell’s last name ❤️ thank you to everyone who supports me- I’m fully confident we can turn this thing around in 2025! - Nate Thrasher (@natethrasher57 via Instagram)
Thrasher will focus on the 2025 SuperMotocross Series and will get married this off-season.
