The Harris Walz camo hats sold out in 30 minutes, emerge as liberal status symbol
Following Vice President Kamala Harris's announcement of Governor Tim Walz as her running mate for the 2024 presidential election, the internet quickly pointed out the similarity between a realtree camo hat Walz wore to Chappell Roan's "Midwest Princess" cap, and the campaign rushed to create its own version. A first drop of 3,000 union-made Harris Walz hats sold out in 30 minutes, and by Wednesday, the hats had brought in nearly $1 million. The camo hat, which once was largely a symbol for conservatism, now has new meaning through Walz and Roan's viral versions. {Teen Vogue}
