Mum stockpiles 18 rolls of toilet paper and her kids throw them all in the bath

As coronavirus panic buying continues across Australia, many are finding essentials such as toilet roll, tissues, rice and pasta are getting harder to come by.

But one mum, who thought she was set after stockpiling 18 rolls of toilet paper, got a massive shock when she walked into the bathroom and discovered her children had thrown them all in the bath.

Twitter user Ed Cumming uploaded a snap of the scene to his account, showing a bath loaded with kids toys and wet toilet paper.

“My friend bought 18 loo rolls and her kids put them all in the bath,” he captioned the snap.

“I literally GASPED when I saw that,” one person commented, while another said:

You can always rely on children to carry on as normal. Bless them.”

“Give the kids a rolling pin, a bucketful of the mush and a washing line. Should keep them busy,” another person recommended.

Others slammed the mum for stockpiling, with many calling it “karma” that her kids threw them in the bath.

“Got to laugh at people calling 18 toilet rolls "stockpiling"! My wife went to Co-Op today as we've run out and bought a pack of 24. One pack. As in you cannot have bought less,” a man said, standing up for the mum.

Mass panic about the coronavirus spurred Woolworths to make its first opening hour exclusively for elderly and disabled customers to buy their essential groceries from this morning

Coles announced yesterday they were suspending online shopping to all customers except the isolated and vulnerable.

From tomorrow, they are introducing a ‘community hour’ between 7AM and 8AM for elderly and disabled customers.
