Yahoo Lifestyle Molly-Mae Just Dropped a Cryptic Response to Those Tommy Reunion Rumor
Molly-Mae Hague has responded to rumors she's back with ex-fiancé Tommy Fury, following speculation the couple have reunited after their August 2024 split.
The couple, who share daughter Bambi, two, broke up last year but in recent weeks fans have speculated the pair could have reunited.
And now Molly has responded to the rumors, through a representative, with a statement given to the Mail Online.
In the statement, the representative said: "At this current time Molly is focusing on what's best for herself and her daughter whilst co-parenting...Others' opinion on her relationship is not her focus or her concern. Only she knows how she feels."
Molly and Tommy met on the 2019 series of ITV's Love Island and left the season as runners up and in a relationship. The pair welcomed their daughter Bambi in January of 2023 and the couple got engaged later that year with a cliff-side ceremony in Ibiza.
Last August, Molly announced the couple had broken up in a statement on her Instagram. At the time it was unclear why Molly and Tommy had ended their relationship.
However, in January this year, Tommy confirmed his struggles with alcohol were the reason behind the couple's breakup. Speaking to Men's Health, Tommy said: "The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. It kills me to say it, [but] it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. People go through different things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.”
Molly opened up about the couple's split during her Prime Video docu-series Molly-Mae: Behind It All in January.
During a candid conversation with her mom, Debbie, Molly said the couple had to breakup because their lifestyles weren't aligned.
"He wanted to have a family life but then also have the life of a 25-year-old boy with no responsibilities, and the two don’t go hand in hand," she said.
Later in the series Molly confessed she had hopes that they would reunite one day. Speaking to camera she said: "I probably haven't been honest with anyone in the situation because actually I've been holding on to the hope and the idea that as soul mates we will always come back together."
She also added: "I didn't want this to happen. I don't want to not be together, and I know we can't be right now because he has to work on himself. It's so hard because all I want is to be with him."
Prior to the release of the documentary unverified pictures were released of Tommy and Molly kissing on New Year's Eve, however the pair have neither confirmed nor denied what is going on in the pictures.
Guess we'll just have to wait for part two of the documentary to drop later this year to find out for sure what is going on with these two.
