Robert Murphy AKA The Cowboy is one of My Kitchen Rules most popular contestants. Soit's no surprise the tong-slinging Texan has been lured back to Aussie TV screens.

‘I can tell you a little bit about it but, you know, I can’t let the cat out of the bag. It’s a whole lot easier to let it out than it is to put it back in!’ he jokes in his trademark drawl.

Though he’s every bit the Southern gentleman, Robert’s competitive streak is still evident as he warns contestants he won’t play nice as a judge just because he’s been in their position.

‘I can look at it from both perspectives and I feel the contestants’ pain because I’ve been in their shoes,’ he explains.

‘But, you know, at the same time, I don’t have a whole lot of empathy because I did it under the toughest conditions it could have been, and you’ve just got to step up and hopefully bring it on.'
