MKR's Jordan wants to charge Colin for featuring his dish

They're the team tipped to take out the My Kitchen Rules.

Now, mother-and-son duo Anna and Jordan have cheekily suggested judge Colin Fassnidge pay them royalties for featuring their dish at his Sydney restaurant, 4Fourteen.

Their charred harissa octopus with duck fat potatoes and kale so impressed Colin and his team during last night's MKR challenge, it was chosen to feature on the restaurant's menu.

But Jordan is now hoping to get a little love back from the acclaimed chef... in the form of money.

"I've got Colin on speed dial," Jordan told The Morning Show when quizzed about his professional relationship with the chef.

"I'm just going to call him up and be like ' five per cent of all royalties [from our dish] - swing them my way'" he said.

The 22-year-old also joked that he was would "flying over to Sydney so Colin can try and cook my dish. Then I can critique it and be like 'Colin, you need more sauce, you overcooked the octopus'".

Jordan's partner in the kitchen, his mother Anna, told The Morning Show that winning last night's challenge and having one of her dishes featured on Colin's menu is like "a dream come true".

"I've always wanted to become a chef and it was a dream come true cooking in a proper restaurant kitchen," she said.

The pair also revealed their plans post-MKR and interestingly neither are hoping to become a chef full-time.

"I've always had a dream of a cafe - so I’m actually looking at opening up a cafe in Perth and then just cooking traditional food with a healthy spin," Jordan said.

His mum is keen to take a more laid back approach, however, and said she's "happy to do dinner parties and things like that".
