Missy Tries to Step Out of Her Dead Husband's Shadow on the Next 'Ride'

Last week, Ride premiered on The CW. The family drama looks at a rodeo dynasty and their struggles to stay on top. One could say it's The CW's family-friendly version of Yellowstone.

In "Rodeo and Juliet," the second episode of The CW's newest series, Missy (Tiera Skovbye) takes on a new role at the ranch but first she has to convince her new employer, Frontier, that her relocation to Houston is not in the best interest of the company. In doing so, she comes up with an unconventional way to deliver the numbers, but struggles with being seen as little more than Austin’s (Marcus Rosner) widow.

Cash’s (Beau Mirchoff) ride at Boulder Rocky Mountain Rodeo puts the McMurrays back in business, but Isabel's (Nancy Travis) concerns about losing the ranch have her considering other options. Tuff (Jake Foy) and Valeria (Sara Garcia) are forced to work on their fractured friendship as they work to save the ranch.

A mystery man (Tyler Jacob Moore) comes to the ranch with a proposition for the McMurrays. As he is given a tour of the ranch, he takes particular interest in Missy, but he isn’t trusted by the rest of the family… especially Beau.
