Missing sea eagle found after three weeks
A sea eagle which went missing three weeks ago has returned home safely.
Kali went missing from Huxley's Birds of Prey Centre in Horsham and was spotted in the local area multiple times, but attempts to lure the bird back had been unsuccessful.
The bird centre said that after the sightings Kali began to come down for food and got closer each time, before she returned home on Friday.
Luke Lloyd, from Huxley's Birds of Prey Centre, told BBC Radio Sussex: "She was gone for 21 days but we had eyes on her, so I was never massively concerned that she wasn't going to come back."
The centre tried to feed the bird to get her to come back but not "overfeed" her in case it scared her off.
Despite this, Kali came back overweight after the three weeks.
Luke said: "Kali can be intimidating and she can bully us - she did bite me on the nose when I got her back but she didn't pose a threat to other animals.
"She once nearly took my eye out but I persevere."
To ensure Kali does not fly off again, the centre is going to give her additional training.
Luke added: "I had been training her and she landed on my glove, which is what I had been working towards before she flew off."
