Mindy Kaling Fans Express Concern Over Unrecognizable Photo After More Weight Loss
Mindy Kaling fans have cheered on the former Office star as she spoke about adopting healthier eating and exercise habits. However, some supporters expressed concern after seeing a new photo in which the actress looked nearly unrecognizable.
On Tuesday, Feb. 11, Kaling, 45, took to Instagram with a carousel of pictures from a screening of her short film Anuja at Netflix's Los Angeles offices.
The main image showed Kaling looking off-screen while posing in a bathroom and rocking a black, high-necked gown with gold buttons down the front.
"The team behind Anuja is made up of true artists and pulling off this film was such a feat," she wrote in part. "Thanks to everyone for coming out and if you haven’t had a chance to watch Anuja yet, check it out on Netflix now!!"

In the comments, Kaling's followers could not help but comment on her slimmed-down physique and how she looked in her stunning dress.
One Instagram user wrote, "Never looked better 🔥🔥🔥."
Another declared, "Mindy you look fantastic," while someone else echoed, "I keep thinking 'this is the prettiest she’s ever looked' and then you come back proving me wrong. THIS IS PERFECTION 🔥🔥🔥🔥."
Meanwhile, one follower didn't recognize Kaling, writing, "I was scrolling quickly and thought this was Kate from Bridgerton!"
A different fan expressed concern for the Mindy Project star, exclaiming, "OMG are you okay!"

Despite speculation that weight-loss drugs like Ozempic are responsible for the changes in Kaling's physique, the actress has shut down the rumors.
“The truth is that I spend so much time and energy trying to be healthy," she told People in 2023. "I run or hike 20 miles a week and I lift weights. It’s a big commitment for me. I basically live in workout clothes so I can get it in."
She added, “I know people are really interested in the changes in my body, and I think it’s flattering but sometimes it’s just a little much, so I try not to tune into it.”
