'Cringe': Flat-earther's embarrassing blunder on Aussie game show

A Millionaire Hot Seat contestant who thinks the earth is flat and laughs at space travel failed to answer her first question right when she got into the chair.

Ashleigh Koutsoukos, a nursing hand from the Blue Mountains in NSW said if she was to win the money she would build a rocket so she could research the idea that the earth is flat.

Millionaire Hot Seat host Eddie McGuire got into a heated debate with the young woman on the Channel Nine show, which eventually ended with Ashleigh failing to answer any questions right.

Eddie went on, asking Ashleigh all about her ‘flat earth theory”.

“Well it’s not really a theory when it’s true,” she responded sarcastically, with Eddie McGuire telling her to prove it to him.

When Eddie asked her what’s at the end of the flat earth, she said: “What’s at the end of space? How can you have an answer for one question and not have an answer for another question?”

Eddie didn’t stop there, pushing her to answer a question on the earth being finite.

“It just depends. We can’t even say that because we can’t actually go anywhere below The Antarctic or outside of The Antarctic because of the Antarctic treaty,” she said.

She said she laughs at space travel calling it “pretty funny” and “the best joke I’ve ever heard”.

“The car in space and all that, it’s hilarious ,” Ahsleigh said.

She went on to say that there’s ‘no curvature;’ anywhere on earth, saying she lives on the top of the mountains and she can see the city and there’s ‘no curvature whatsoever’.

“I went up on the concord once and you could see the curvature there,” Eddie said.

Ashleigh sarcastically replied saying: “Wow, that was great, bet it was”, before saying: “Maybe my cameras are all broken, maybe they’ll all got fish-eye lenses I don’t know”.

Eddie swiftly moved things along, asking Ashleigh ‘Which one of these words is spelled correctly?”

Ashleigh had four choices to pick from - missdirect, missfit, misspell and missnomer.

She went for missfit and when she found out the correct answer was actually misspell, she put her hands on her head and said: “I read it wrong”.

“What a surprise, the flat earther answered the first question incorrectly lol. Listening to her talk was cringe,” one person commented online.
