Millie Bobby Brown Favors Y2K Trends in Denim Dolce & Gabbana Skirt Suit for ‘The Electric State’ Madrid Press Conference
Millie Bobby Brown embraced multiple 2000s-era trends at a press conference for her new film, “The Electric State,” in Madrid on Thursday.
Brown sported a patchwork denim skirt suit from Dolce & Gabbana’s spring 2021 collection, evoking Britney Spears‘ and Justin Timberlake’s iconic coordinating looks at the 2001 American Music Awards. She also added on knee-high shearling boots by Asos and a matching Miu Miu purse, recalling one of the decade’s “It” shoes: the Ugg boot.

A pair of gold Jennifer Meyer hoops completed Brown’s look. The style of earring was particularly popular in the 2000s, and a staple accessory among stars like Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé at the time.
Stylist Ryan Young, who also dresses Grace Van Patten of “Tell Me Lies,” curated Brown’s look for the occasion.
Hairdresser Pete Burkill styled the “Stranger Things” star’s blond tresses in sleek buns tied with metallic Lelet ponytail holders. Makeup artist Buster Knight, meanwhile, gave her a teal eye shadow and a pink lip.
At the film’s Los Angeles premiere on Monday, Brown favored a corseted silhouette in a regal Annie’s Ibiza gown. The intricate frock takes inspiration from the Renaissance period, nodding to Florence’s architectural masterpieces and artistry, per the brand’s description.
Brown walked the red carpet alongside her husband, Jake Bongiovi, son of singer Jon Bon Jovi. The couple began dating in 2021 before tying the knot in Italy last year.
“The Electric State,” out March 14 on Netflix, follows an orphaned teenager searching for her brother in a dystopian version of the American West.
