The Schedule Holding Your Sex Life Back

If you’ve been finding it increasingly difficult to find a time where both you and your partner are down to get dirty, we now know why.

A recent sex survey of 2,300 adults by sex toy brand Lovehoney found men and women yearn the most for sex at differing times.

While women prefer to get it on at 11:21pm on average, men are more likely to want to do the deed at the inconvenient time of 7:54am.

These specific times are just the average, however, with women tending to get steamy between 11pm and 2am, and men wanting action between 6am and 9am.

With the stress of work and the dreaded commute to work the next morning, only 16 per cent of men want to have sex before they sleep.

In regards to these findings, it is not surprising that 68 per cent of women and 63 per cent of men have dated someone with a sex drive not compatible with their own.

The differences between men and women’s sex drive was also revealed, with more than half of men reporting their sex drive was constant, while 36 per cent of women said it was affected by their mood.

Lovehoney co-owner Richard Longhurst said the differing preferred hours for sexytime was clear.

“This shows that there are big differences in sex o’clock between the sexes.

“Men are ready for sex just before breakfast whereas women most want passion last thing at night.

“What is encouraging is that most people tend to find sexual happiness in the end with a partner with similar needs.”

Compromise is always important: giving into the occasional bang before breakfast or sex before slumber will make for a much happier bedroom.
