Melania Trump and Justin Trudeau kiss sends internet into a spin
The internet has been sent into a frenzy after photos emerged of Melania Trump sharing an air kiss with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
But while the peck on the cheek was done in greeting, with her husband, the President of the United States Donald Trump, standing right beside her, the moment between Melania and Trudeau has gone viral.
Described as ‘glamorous’ and even ‘romantic’, the kiss between the US First Lady and Trudeau was captured during the leaders’ family photograph at the G7 summit in Biarritz, France.
The moment has been likened to a ‘Vogue ad’ and has sent Twitter alight with its sense of European glamour, so much so, the hashtag #Melanialovestrudeau is now trending.
Body language expert Judi James said the camera angle made the “pitch-perfect ritual” even more dramatic.
“Melania showed the smooth way to approach the ritual with the very charming Trudeau, with the pair ending up looking like a Vogue ad, while Trump stared grimly in the background,” she told the Express.
Even Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison featured in the now viral image, standing awkwardly in the background.
People shared their thoughts on the snap online.
Some called the image “romantic” with others musing over the fact they had “not seen Melania look at her husband like this”.
