Meghan Markle has revealed she and Prince Harry were actually married three days before their official 'royal wedding' that was broadcast for millions around the world.
In her exclusive sit down interview with Oprah, Meghan said the church wedding was a "spectacle for the world".
"Three days before our wedding we got married," Meghan said.
"No one knows that we called the Archbishop and we just said, look, this thing is a spectacle for the world.
"But we want our union to be between us."
So instead the pair were married in their backyard days before their Windsor Castle nuptials.
Meghan kicked off her chat with Oprah Winfrey revealing she went into life as a royal 'naively'.
“I will say I went into it naively because I didn’t grow up knowing much about the royal family it wasn’t something that was part of the conversation at home," she told the host. "It wasn’t something that we followed.”
She also revealed she met the Queen in an off the cut moment that was 'lovely and easy'.

The Queen was not expected be watching Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey with sources saying before hand she would likely "ignore" it.
The Sunday Times reports Her Majesty will not watch the interview, as her focus is instead on national issues.
"You will see next week Her Majesty has quite a few things going on," a source told the paper. "I don't think anyone should expect Her Majesty to stay up and watch the interview. She won't.
The interview had already been branded a "circus" by royal courtiers.
