Meghan McCain Takes Aim At ‘View’ Co-Host Alyssa Farah Griffin In Latest Shot At ABC Talk Show

Meghan McCain can’t seem to quit talking about The View and directed her latest shot at conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin.

McCain, a former co-host of the ABC daytime talk show, went out of her way to defend her friend Tulsi Gabbard, who recently was confirmed as U.S, Director of National Intelligence.

Griffin quoted a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, from Christopher Miller, the Financial Times‘ Chief Correspondent in Kyiv. In the post, Miller shares Gabbard’s “talking points that could have come straight from the Kremlin.”

“How serious Republicans supported Tulsi Gabbard for ODNI is beyond me,” Griffin posted.

Feeling the urge to defend Gabbard, whom she got close to after making an appearance on The View, McCain quoted Griffin’s post and said, “How anyone thinks you represent any Republican woman in America is beyond me.”

McCain’s latest shot at The View comes less than a week after Elon Musk said “maybe it is time to sue” the show in an X post. Musk reacted to a clip of the daytime talk show in which Joy Behar apologized after saying the Tesla owner was pro-Apartheid. McCain quoted posted Musk’s response adding, “Hahahaha!!!” at the thought her former employer would face a lawsuit.

“I don’t really know, for sure, if he was. He grew up at that time when the apartheid party was in full bloom, before the great Nelson Mandela fixed that,” Behar said in her apology. “Maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t. He might’ve been a young guy too. So don’t be suing me, OK, Elon?”

McCain had already seemed gleeful that The View could face legal consequences for Behar’s on-air comments, posting on X, “If Elon Musk sues The View, I will join DOGE.”

In December 2023, McCain said she would consult with her lawyers after she felt alluded to on the show when Ana Navarro suggested an unnamed former co-host used her famous last name for influence.

“I don’t understand why my former colleagues @The View @ABC bring me up and slander me on an almost weekly basis,” she tweeted. “It has been years – move on, I have,” McCain said at the time. “All accusations are absurd, defamatory and slanderous. I will be consulting my lawyers regarding what was libeled against me on The View this morning.”

In June 2024, McCain felt like Sara Haines alluded to her on the show and took to social media to say, “These women will never quit me.”
