Meghan Markle to guest edit 'Meghan Issue' of British Vogue

She spent years writing down her thoughts on her personal lifestyle blog, The Tig, and now Meghan Markle is going back to her roots, by reportedly signing up to guest edit the September issue of British Vogue.

The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex is said to have teamed up with British Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful, to step in as a onetime editor of the highly prestigious fashion magazine.

According to US Weekly, a photoshoot for the cover of the issue is set to take place at Meghan and Prince Harry’s Frogmore Cottage home sometime next week.

The September Issue of Vogue is the most famous edition of the whole year and Meghan is set to put her stamp on it by reportedly writing an opinion piece and ‘ bringing a selection of female change-makers on board to write their own personal essays’, according to US Weekly.

Meghan is no stranger to gracing the covers of glossy magazines, having appeared in the pages of publications all over the world during her stint on US TV show, Suits.

In October 2017, Meghan appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, just one month before her engagement to Prince Harry was announced.

She also wrote eloquently in her lifestyle blog, The Tig, about everything from food and fitness to love and relationships.

The Duchess of Sussex isn’t the only member of the royal family to try their hand in the world of editorial.

In 2016, Kate Middleton guest-edited the UK section of The Huffington Post, where she highlighted the importance of children’s mental health and the amazing work being done around the UK.

And in April 2016, the Duchess of Cambridge was unveiled as the cover star for British Vogue’s centenary issue.

A 10-page shoot showed Kate posing in the Norfolk countryside, in her first-ever sitting for a magazine.

In September 2018, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie spoke about Eugenie’s wedding plans and their special bond in British Vogue.
